This brief is derived from the Design Futures course during my undergrad at Emily Carr University. A class-wide thematic analysis was conducted with material from student publications of the 2018 Perspectives Program. Recollections from real humans living in long-term care homes, design & illustration as a mode of story sharing.
The key words from this analysis served as the foundation of our individual posters. They echo voices & experiences of those in the same long-term care facility, returning back to the community after a period of Covid isolation.
Final deliverable was a [50cm x 70cm] press quality poster. By the end of the semester, these were printed & sent to the Purdy Pavilion Care Home, where our original stories were "born", in Vancouver, BC. 2022.
Assets & decorative elements used for the final poster. Experiments based on the theme translated into a visual identity.
