This poster is based on the 2012 movie "Beasts of the Southern Wild" directed by Ben Zeitlin. 50 thumbnails were created before first, second & final drafts. The beasts & title text were hand illustrated in Procreate, before assembling the poster elements in Adobe Photoshop.
This brief came from the Communication Design Studio course during my undergrad at Emily Carr University. Of the three movies provided to choose, the concept of these beasts appealed the most; along with the theme of childhood & solemnity.
The final deliverable was a large format print at [24" x 36"] which was displayed at the University for one week. 2021.
