Project brief was to create a land-based zine. My original inspiration came from walks through the alley & collecting bread clips. The theme of excess quantity was reminiscent of the Buy Nothing group in my neighbourhood, which is a community based project for gifting/exchanging. I began to sketch odd posts under the Facebook group, which at the time was not related to the zine. The bread clip spread is a small self insert of my contribution & reminder of where this project began
After hand crafting the zines, they were packaged in cellophane bags & clipped to resemble a loaf of bread. A draft copy exists with me, but the remainder of zines were gifted among friends + community members of the Buy Nothing group
Note: The inside sleeves contain all names of group members current to the time & the fineprint contract in the group's FAQ
